Craighead Electric Cooperative Cooperation has purchased 5.2 acres of land located at 4500 S. Stadium Boulevard in Jonesboro.
“Over the last 10 years, Craighead Electric Cooperative and empower, Delivered by Craighead Electric have grown exponentially. Our workforce has increased by 47% across both organizations since 2014 with our last headquarters expansion taking place in 1998. The need for an expansion has been true for quite some time.” said Jeremiah Sloan, CEO of Craighead Electric Cooperative and empower.
According to Sloan, upon purchasing the land located at 4500 Stadium Boulevard, the companies have learned of a pet cemetery located on the south side of the property.
“Craighead Electric an empower have the upmost respect of any pet that was buried on the land and fully intend to work with families affected to make necessary arrangements,” he said. “Unfortunately, CECC and empower, were unable to obtain any documentation of records regarding the cemetery upon purchasing the land. We need the public’s help to locate as many families as we can. As things stand today, we do not have a date that we plan to begin construction and want all families to know they have ample time to contact us.”
Craighead Electric Cooperative, empower, Delivered by Craighead Electric, and Coop Cares will be donating in honor of families affected by this purchase to our local NEA humane Society located at 6111 E. Highland Drive in Jonesboro.
